Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec Part 1

On day 2 of our resumed trip, we left Beresford and drove northward to the Quebec border and, more specifically the Gaspe Peninsula. This was our first destination of the trip and we ultimately would spend 5 nights there.

The drive through Campbellton, NB and across the bridge into Quebec was pretty cool, but I didn't take any photos as I was behind the wheel. My wife was evidently "asleep at the wheel" as well.

It was a short day of driving with out first campsite called Camping de Carelton-sur-Mer,  selected based on a friend's recommendation.

The site, located on a slip of land jutting into the Guld of St. Lawrence with beaches on both sides, proved quite nice indeed.

We had lovely night there, including a breif swim (the water was warm enough to dip in and out without freezing to death, at least).

Refreshed, we drove on to our next destination on the Gaspe Peninsula: Frollion National Park.
